Robin Hood Factor Of Proposed Universal Health Care Reform

written by Rich
 Charlie Says:

The Universal Health Care Bill is now officially on the table. The estimated cost, 1 1/2 Trillion Dollars. It would be absurd to even ask how the government plans to pay for it, right! We, the people must pay and pay we will. Add this trillion and a half to Cap and Trade and The Stimulus Bill, now swallow hard. If you are wealthy, a goal many wish to attain, than you’re really in for ‘a treat’. Hold on to your hat.

As Obama has promised, he will redistribute the wealth in this country.
Redistribute, as if it got into the hands it is in wrongly to begin with. The American Dream is in part, to acquire wealth. Should the government be able take it away?

The Heath Care Reform proposal has a built in surtax for the wealthy.
Household incomes of 250,000+ will have to pay this additional tax. With all the added taxes coming on board and Bush’s tax breaks soon coming to an end, people in the upper income bracket will be extremely hard pressed. Penalized for their success.
They will be paying 50% of their earnings in taxes. This is absurd.

Many feel that health care reform as proposed by the Democrats is  il-fated, already doomed. It will be too expensive for a mediocre plan.

With the financial woes we are in these days, why look to tax Americans more? Why not lower taxes and decrease spending? We need to allow the economy to get back on its feet.

Yes, there are many who are in financial woes today. Did you ever wonder why?

The number one reason for bankruptcy, after the recession is the outlandish medical bills people owe because their insurance didn’t cover an illness/injury or they just didn’t have any insurance at all. Having insurance seems to be a priveledge reserved for the rich, not the middle class or poor.

And this is exactly how the Republicans want it. They don’t want anything interferring with the profits of the pharmaceutical companies, and hence their campaign contributions.

Yes, the wealthy will have to pay more, but being wealthy is not the American Dream. The dream is to be able to own your own home and provide for your family, something the Republicans seem hell bent on preventing most of us from doing and only allowing the rich to accomplish.

I and the majority of Amewricans have been holding on to their hats already, maybe now it’s time for the Republicans and their wealthy benefactors do the same
