Health Care Reform – Who’s Going To Pay For It?

written by Rich

Rich Says;

The main objection to Health Care Reform, other than the Repuplican sponsored lies such as “death panels”, “reduction and elimination of Medicare” and “Government interference with my health” is “Who is going to pay for it”?

As Senator Ron Paul (The only Republican with even an ounce of honesty in him) states it pretty clearly in this video. END THE WARS! Hey, what a concept. Stop pouring money into an illegal war and start spending it on our own citizens. Who’d thought?

The ones who started that arguement about costs are probably the same ones who can afford to get insurance. But to those the costs are skyrocketing. In the Miami Herald, the Commonwealth Fund stated;

A Commonwealth Fund report being released Thursday reports that Florida and the rest of the nation saw health insurance costs increase far faster than salaries.

Between 2003 and 2008, single premiums in Florida increased 26 percent, family premiums 36 percent. As a percentage of median household income, Florida employer premiums went from 16.2 percent in 2003 to 18.5 percent in 2008.

With so many people who can’t get insurance and must live in pain and many times die unneccessarily, why can’t we have a plan that would cover them? What is the problem? Will it cost too much? How much is a life worth to these people?

Unfortunately, the answer is that too many people are just too greedy and selfish to let others live a decent, pain free life. These people would rather you listen to the lies and propaganda about Socialism, bankruptcy and all sorts of eveil things. The same things they have been saying all along, and have never happened.

Charlie Says;

Lets face it, when it comes down to who’s paying for it, the answer is usually a very simple one. So simple in fact, even a third grader knows the answer. It is Us, we who will be paying for this fiasco. After all, aren’t we always paying for it? Don’t we always pay the tab for the incompetent legislation the wacko left tries to push down our throats? FDR is probably the worst culprit of “Band Aid” legislation. Doomed to fail from the start. ” Roosevelt’s ”New Deal”, full of short term remedy only. Everything from  Social Security to Medicare is now in or heading to the crapper.

Health Care Reform as it is being proposed, is junk. Joe Scarborough MSNBC, perhaps put it the best, “..The Democrats now own D.C. …they don’t need bipartisanship , they have the votes(in both houses) to do everything they want to do..” However,it is the people of this country and some wise democratic legislators that have  now become  outraged! They’re finally speaking up and just saying no, to junk.Expensive junk at that.

Rich believes somewhat naively, that ending ‘the wars’ is a way to redistribute money to pay for good things like citizen benefited programs, such as Health Care Reform. Everybody,save the far out left knows that one thing has nothing to do with the other. Besides, The Dems will always find away to spend the money else where.

Priorities – They are so crucial. First let us find a viable solution,or solutuons to our current Health Care System’s woes . Then perhaps in spite of The Dem’s constant mandate of spend, spend spend, the answer to “Who’s Going To Pay For It “, may be simpler than we think. CHEAPER TOO!

  1. The young people, (like me.. 19) are going to be the ones to pay for it. Health Care reform is absolutely stupid. I will leave this country in a heart beat if this bill is passed. Lets take my money and share it with the rest of the country. I think not. Every man for themselves. Weather it be selfish or not. I in no way have an obligation to anyone else in this country. And if you think otherwise you are wrong. What has America done for the young person? Nothing. They have run this country into the ground so I can work till I’m 70 and pay taxes? What a joke.

  2. Yes, teaching man to fish would be a better way to go. Unfortunately the Republicans would take away the funding needed to pay the teachers.

  3. Jean Pinochet

    Give a man a fish and he’ll eat one meal
    Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat many meals.
    That’s the difference between the Dems and the Reps
    respectively.

  4. Do you know the difference between a Democrat and Repulican?

    Democrats Care about people, Republicans care about their wallets.
